Broadcom in ‘advanced’ talks to acquire Symantec

According to Reuters , the semiconductor manufacturer is seeking to diversify and in advanced discussions to take over cyber security company Symantec in what is understood to be a deal worth $15 billion.

Last year Broadcom had made its shift in software by purchasing mainframe software company CA for $18.9bn .
