Microsoft has finally announced the shut-down date of May 6, 2020 for to-do list app Wunderlist, which it acquired four years ago.
Users can switch to a new app, To Do, described by Microsoft as “intelligent task management app that makes it easy to plan and manage your day.”
Wunderlist calls it a new beginning and compares it to a move by saying that “moving can be stressful and scary, but also exciting and refreshing.” The successor, To Do, is perfectly integrated into Office 365.
Wunderlist was set up in 2011 by the Berlin company 6Wunderkinder. It was purchased in 2015 by Microsoft which, in 2017, announced that it would be retiring Wunderlist once it had integrated its functionality into its own app To Do.
