Verint Systems, Inc. and Scitum today announced a partnership aimed at protecting government organizations and enterprises in Mexico against advanced cyber threats. The strategic partnership merges Verint’s market-leading cyber intelligence capabilities with Scitum’s best-of-breed managed services expertise.
The next-generation Verint Threat Protection System was specifically designed to help address the limitations of traditional security approaches in combating today’s advanced and sophisticated cyber-attacks. The solution provides organizations with comprehensive detection, prioritization, investigation and protection from advanced cyber-attacks. As a pre-integrated intelligence platform, the Verint solution helps Security Operational Center (SOC) analysts pinpoint, analyze and neutralize threats more rapidly. Innovative orchestration and automation capabilities function as a “brain,” powering intelligence sharing for better threat detection across the stages of the attack cycle. In addition, the Verint Threat Protection System creates actionable intelligence that provides deeper insights, enabling security teams to better anticipate threats and be prepared to respond.
Scitum is the largest provider of managed security services in Mexico and one of the leaders in Latin America with a rapidly growing customer base of over 700 companies. “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a state-of-the-art cyber security intelligence solution through our new partnership with Verint,” says Ulises Castillo Hernández, CEO at Scitum. “This partnership will help us meet the increasing market demand for high-end, security-as-a-service solutions that can help effectively detect, investigate and protect against advanced cyber-attacks.”
The Verint Threat Protection System will operate in Scitum’s Security Operations Center, which was the first such operation of its kind in Mexico, and which now comprises more than 200 specialized security engineers and analysts. Scitum will use Verint’s open and scalable solution in conjunction with its current tools to improve the effectiveness and productivity of its SOC analysts in countering advanced cyber-attacks.
“Verint’s extensive experience in security intelligence and big data analytics differentiates its cyber intelligence platform from other security vendors. Through this partnership, we are able to offer our customers a level of cyber security that Verint previously made available only to government and intelligence agencies, all in a single managed service,” explains Marcos A. Polanco Velasco, CTO at Scitum. “As a result, our customers are able to enjoy enhanced protection against advanced cyber threats, significantly reducing their risk and potential financial and reputation damage from data breaches. Working with Verint, we can quickly pinpoint threats and reduce time to resolution, while sharing threat intelligence based on insights gleaned across the organization.”
“As part of our global cyber market strategy, we partner with industry-leading MSSPs, such as Scitum, to bring our best-of-breed cyber intelligence technologies and big data analytics approach to government and enterprises worldwide,” adds Hudi Zack, senior vice president, cyber security, Verint. “This partnership with Scitum reinforces the value that the Verint Threat Protection System can bring to MSSPs and their customers.”
