Getronics Partners with Radius to Deliver Mobile Application Strategy

Getronics, the global IT services provider, today announced its partnership with Radius Payment Solutions Ltd, a leading service provider to the fleet and logistics market, to deliver a mobile application strategy for Radius’ new telematics product, Kinesis.

Radius wanted their customers to be able to use the Kinesis tool – used for vehicle telematics and fleet visibility – on both PC and mobile devices. The company needed external support for this mobility project to complement their internal capabilities. Radius engaged Getronics to help deliver Kinesis in a mobile app format to enable customers to access the key features of the product, namely live map, journey history, driver and vehicle performance.

Mark Cook, group CEO at Getronics, comments: “Radius required an easy to use solution that was quick to set up and that would allow customers to monitor their fleet and improve efficiency. We were able to help take their existing web design features and transition the same look, feel and functionality in a mobile app format. This enables their customers to use the product and access its key features from any iOS or Android device, on the go.”

“Through close collaboration with Radius’ internal team, we provided a service that was flexible enough to cope with the evolving needs of the business and by establishing a strong working relationship, we were able to deliver the project within a tight timeframe while still delivering to an exceptionally high standard.”

Bill Holmes, CEO and founder of Radius Payment Solutions, comments: “Technology is helping to drive our business forward and Kinesis is an excellent example of our product innovation and growth strategy for the organisation. We are excited with our continual development of our Telematics solution, enabling fleets to gain greater efficiencies from their vehicles at a competitive price.”

Getronics also took advantage of the mobile development capabilities of its Spanish sister company, Connectis, which worked alongside the UK team to test the app daily until its aunch. Getronics provided a full wrap-around service which has led to a long-term partnership with Radius, with the next stage of app development already in the pipeline. Dave Roberts, CIO at Radius Payment Solutions, comments: “We have extensive experience of developing services and desktop applications but needed additional external support for mobile apps. We identified Getronics as having the necessary experience needed in developing apps on iOS and Android. The Getronics team became a virtual extension of our internal IT and Digital teams, helping to speed up the process of getting the right look and feel for the app”.

“We are delighted with the result of this project. Getronics has met our needs within a very short timeframe and we have been impressed with their expertise, engagement and professionalism. Thanks to the success of this project we have engaged Getronics again in the next stage of the Kinesis app development. We look forward to working further with them and continuing our relationship into the future.”
