Under terms of the agreement, Yonyou and IBM will optimize DB2 with BLU Acceleration for NC, Yonyou’s ERP, supply chain, customer relationship, and human resources software. Yonyou will offer DB2 with BLU acceleration with NC to its customers and together IBM and Yonyou plan to develop an end-to-end ecosystem covering application testing, technical help, marketing expertise, and sales support. Yonyou has also decided to adopt IBM analytics software, such as Cognos, into its Unified Application Platform (UAP). UAP is the common computing platform for the enterprises and organizations.
“Data is the world’s new natural resource, and our goal is to provide Yonyou customers with best-in-class transaction and analytic capabilities,” said Sean Poulley, VP, Databases & Data Warehousing, Information Management Division, IBM. IBM’s DB2 with BLU Acceleration delivers in-memory computing analytics with high-performance transaction processing in one database, providing faster answers to today’s business problems.
“ERP and accounting software applications run a lot of reports. In a complex query test of balance of supplier on System x*, DB2 with Blue Acceleration yielded a 40x performance boost over a traditional row database. This type of technology is an ideal fit for Yonyou’s Big Data Analytic Services,” said Zheng Yulin, Senior Vice President, Yonyou Software Co. Ltd.
