NTT DATA, a global leader in AI, digital business, and technology services, has announced a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at helping enterprises modernize legacy systems, responsibly adopt agentic AI, and scale innovation across industries.
The collaboration brings together NTT DATA’s deep expertise in cloud transformation, cloud-native modernization, and agentic AI with the global scale, security, and innovation capabilities of AWS. Together, the companies will deliver tailored enterprise solutions designed to modernize mission-critical workloads, establish secure and resilient cloud foundations, and drive measurable business outcomes—particularly across regulated and high-growth sectors.
Under the agreement, NTT DATA and AWS will focus on accelerating enterprise transformation across four strategic priority areas:
AI-driven large-scale cloud transformation:
Helping organizations migrate and modernize on-premises workloads on AWS by leveraging generative and agentic AI, advanced automation, and data platforms. This approach is designed to unlock new business models, enhance operational intelligence, and accelerate innovation.
Industry cloud solutions on AWS:
Delivering repeatable, industry-specific solutions for sectors including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail, and energy. These offerings will leverage NTT DATA’s Industry Cloud platform, which includes more than 500 extensible business components and AI agents.
AI and data innovation for modern managed services and customer experiences:
Operating secure and compliant cloud environments at scale, including a recent collaboration to modernize global contact center solutions using Amazon Connect, enabling faster adoption of AI-driven customer experience (CX) capabilities.
Digital sovereignty and regulated cloud solutions on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud:
Supporting European governments and enterprises in meeting strict data residency and operational autonomy requirements. As a launch partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, NTT DATA will deliver sovereign-by-design cloud solutions and managed services that combine regulatory compliance with the security, availability, and performance of AWS.
As part of the collaboration, AWS will support NTT DATA through co-innovation programs, certifications, and client engagement initiatives to help enterprises adopt AI-powered cloud solutions more rapidly and with greater confidence.
To strengthen execution, NTT DATA has established a dedicated AWS Business Group aligned with AWS’s sales and delivery model. The group includes nearly 11,000 AWS-certified professionals, with plans to certify close to 10,000 additional experts over the next three years.
Driving AI innovation across industries
Through its Industry Cloud platform, NTT DATA will develop dozens of new AI-driven, industry-specific cloud solutions on AWS to accelerate digital transformation across regulated and fast-growing sectors.
- Financial services: Modernizing core banking and compliance workloads to reduce risk and meet regulatory requirements.
- Healthcare and life sciences: Building secure, AI-enabled data platforms to generate intelligent insights, improve outcomes, and accelerate research.
- Public sector: Delivering compliant private cloud solutions to support secure digital services for citizens.
- Manufacturing and automotive: Modernizing business and IT operations using generative and agentic AI to improve financial and operational efficiency.
Dedicated innovation environments on AWS—including sandboxes and innovation labs—will enable joint teams to design, test, and refine solutions before scaling them for enterprise deployment.
These innovations will be supported by NTT DATA’s end-to-end service portfolio, spanning advisory, cloud transformation, implementation, and managed services. The initiative also expands NTT DATA’s Smart AI Agent Ecosystem, empowering enterprises to deploy and manage responsible, business-driven AI at scale with speed, security, and confidence.
