Adani Group Appoints Amrit Sethi as Group Head for Cyber Security

Amrit Sethi has been appointed as the Group Head for Cyber Security at the Adani Group.

After ten years as an Associate Partner with KPMG India, one of the country’s Big Four accountancy and advising firms, Sethi joins Adani.

As part of KPMG’s digital trust practice, Sethi oversaw cyber transformation. He was in charge and was managing operations of KPMG’s Global Security Operations Centre, as well as being responsible delivery and engagement with the firm’s customers.

During his decade with KPMG, he also served as a strategic advisor to CIOs in the country and supported India’s largest privately-owned crude oil producer and the world’s largest FMCG company as part of his professional engagements.

Sethi handled the deployment and maintenance of security technologies such as data loss prevention, vulnerability assessment tools, identity and access management, and SIEM operations during his stint at IBM.

Prior to joining IBM, Sethi played an important role in establishing Ranbaxy’s global messaging setup, which included building redundancies and setting up its Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Due to the deployments, it helped improve the uptime to over 99.8 percent for all major services.

Over the years, Sethi has acquired experience as a security leader in building next-generation SOCs, vulnerability analyses and risk assessment, security architecture, and risk identification and mitigation.
