Akasa Air Appoints Shankar Jayaraman as its CISO and VP-Development

Former Director of R&D at Sophos, Shankar Jayaraman is the new CISO & VP-Development at Akasa Air.

Shankar Jayaraman has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and vice president of development at Akasa Air.

In his LinkedIn post, Jayaraman said “I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to join such a talented team. Looking forward to new challenges and opportunities,”

Jayaraman comes with close to 21 years of experience in leading and managing research and development and operations at leading cybersecurity firms.

Before taking over as CISO at Akasa Air, Jayaraman served as director of research and development at Sophos for 5.5 years. He managed engineering teams in India, Hungary and the UK. In addition to managing big data and DevOps platforms for Sophos’ next-gen cloud threat analysis service, he was responsible for developing and maintaining the firm’s security signature release platforms as well.
