CrowdStrike has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aramco in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step toward advancing the Kingdom’s cybersecurity transformation. The proposed collaboration aims to support long-term investments in AI-driven security capabilities, helping establish a unified, Kingdom-wide cybersecurity model to protect critical infrastructure and enable secure digital and AI-led growth.
The collaboration reflects Saudi Arabia’s leadership in accelerating secure AI adoption and developing market-specific standards of cybersecurity excellence, while aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives. It also lays the foundation for a long-term partnership focused on innovation, talent development, and strengthening the national cyber ecosystem.
“We’re proud to collaborate with Aramco as Saudi Arabia accelerates its secure AI adoption,” said George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike. “I’m thrilled to bring the power of the Crowd to the Kingdom, helping to secure the commerce, creativity, and purpose of one of the world’s fastest growing economies.”
The discussions are intended to enhance the cybersecurity posture of both Aramco and the Kingdom, driving innovation, resilience, and long-term protection across sectors.
“The impact of this collaboration is expected to be felt beyond Aramco’s borders, as we set a new standard for cybersecurity excellence and inspire the emergence of a new generation of cybersecurity leaders,” said Abdul Aziz S. Al Shafi, Aramco Vice President of Cybersecurity & Chief Information Security Officer.
As part of the proposed collaboration, CrowdStrike will explore opportunities to support cybersecurity operations at national scale, including the potential establishment of a regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, deployment of in-country cloud capabilities, and adoption of the Falcon platform as a unified foundation for AI-powered protection across critical infrastructure, operational technology, and the Kingdom’s expanding digital economy. The collaboration also envisions joint innovation initiatives, enhanced threat intelligence sharing, and sustained investment in cybersecurity skills development aligned with Vision 2030.
