Gamma Strengthens Cyber Security Offering with Satisnet Acquisition

Gamma has announced its acquisition of Satisnet in order to bolster its own cyber security offering.

Established in 2004, Satisnet is a managed security services provider (MSSP), as well as a cyber security consultancy with a proven track record in the industry.

It is also a leading provider of cyber security solutions and services to enterprises around the UK and the rest of Europe.

Gamma believes Satisnet will be able to provide its customers with “comprehensive and robust” cyber security solutions that can protect their critical assets, sensitive data, and corporate reputation.

David Macfarlane, Managing Director at Gamma Enterprise, spoke about the anticipated benefits of the acquisition: “We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Satisnet as we join forces to address the pressing concerns of cyber security in today’s boardrooms.

“Recognising the increasing significance of cyber security, we are excited to enhance our portfolio with the expertise and solutions on offer.

“This enables us to cater to the growing needs of our expanding enterprise and public sector community, providing them with comprehensive security solutions to safeguard their digital infrastructure.

“Together, we are well-positioned to tackle the evolving landscape and deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

Satisnet brings its 48 employees and 1,000 customers, as well as what Gamma describes as “unparalleled expertise and cutting-edge solutions”, which have been formed by high-quality customer service and tailored offerings that are built to create strong relations between partners and customers.

Satisnet has also secured some top-level partnerships, which include industry leaders like Microsoft and Tenable.

Gamma believes it is effective at assessing and locating vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and putting advanced security measures into effect for businesses of all sizes.

It also points to Satisnet’s “commitment to excellence” making it a perfect fit, adding to its growing pile of acquisitions.

John McCann, CEO of Satisnet, explained how the acquisition would also benefit Satisnet: “With over 20 years of bringing our cyber solutions to the market, we are thrilled to expand our scale and reach through Gamma.

“We are confident that this will amplify our capabilities, allowing us to tackle emerging cyber threats with unmatched expertise and deliver exceptional value to our expanding customer base.”

In June 2023, Gamma acquired Mission Labs to bolster its cloud contact centre technology, as well as its channel strategy.

Looking further back, it has also acquired HFO Gruppe, Exactive, Dean One, and more.

Each acquisition is designed to strengthen one or more aspects of Gamma’s business.

This time, it is all about cyber security, which Gamma calls a “top priority” right now for organisations around the world.

According to Gamma, businesses want to have reliable network security, cybersecurity protections, and defence against predatory attacks.

There is no doubt that security is an essential component for all businesses, particularly with ever-evolving threats, such as through the use of generative AI.

In June this year, McAfee released a study of 7,000 people into the use of generative AI for voice cloning scams, which found that one in four had either experienced it or knew somebody who had.

Businesses are often the target too. In the same month, EA hackers posed as employees on Slack to gain access to EA’s source code.

Gamma’s new security services will initially be available to enterprise and public sector customers, with the aim of extending them to channel partners in the coming months.
