IBM has completed its acquisition of Resilient Systems. The company, now known as Resilient, an IBM Company, is part of IBM’s Security business unit and will contribute to the tech giant’s incident response capabilities, IBM said.
When announcing the planned acquisition, just prior to the RSA Conference, IBM said Resilient Systems’ platform would be a foundational component for its new X-Force Incident Response Services, along with IBM’s QRadar Security Intelligence Platform.
“With Resilient, we’re expanding the capabilities we bring to customers, helping them manage the complexities in resolving security incidents, including the coordination of teams, best practices, and reporting,” Marc van Zadelhoff, General Manager, IBM Security, said in a statement.
In 2015, IBM’s security business reached $2 billion in revenue and added 1,000 employees.
While the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, some reports peg the deal at more than $100 million.
