Indian Bank Appoints R Vijay as its CISO

Indian Bank has appointed R Vijay as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). His responsibilities include driving the Indian Bank’s cybersecurity initiatives.

Vijay was the CISO & Head – Network Management, Mahindra Financial Services Sector, in his previous role. He has also worked with premier infosec organizations such as Satyam/Mahindra Satyam (Project Head – Cyber Security), Meity (Design Engineer & Scientist – DoE), with stints at CAMS and CRISIL as CISO. Vijay comes with decades of vast experience in the BFSI sector.

The cyber resilience practitioner and cyber crisis specialist has used his capabilities, competencies, and experience to ensure a steady balance between business objectives and the cyber threat the businesses, customers, and team members face. He comes with the vision, strategies, and structures by leveraging and improving upon available expertise, tools, frameworks, and operating procedures to address complex cybersecurity and cyber resilience challenges.
