Accenture India Appoints Gautam Kapoor as Cyber Security Leader

Gautam Kapoor has been appointed as Cyber Security Leader – India Market Unit at Accenture, India.

After a remarkable tenure as Partner – Cybersecurity at Deloitte India, Gautam Kapoor expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to drive transformative changes in the cybersecurity landscape in India.

Announcing his new role, Gautam Kapoor shared on LinkedIn: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Cyber Security Leader – India (India Market Unit) at Accenture in India! Change is good! And we are about to bring some changes in the cybersecurity space in India. Proud to be part of this influential organization that is making a global impact in cybersecurity. Looking forward to a wonderful new journey and hopefully we will be able to bring great cybersecurity work to our Indian clients.

Kapoor brings over two decades of extensive experience in cybersecurity, having worked with leading organizations such as Barclays, GE Capital, and PwC.

Gautam’s area of focus include identity, access management, access governance, privileged identity management, customer identity management, information security strategy, enterprise security architecture, data leakage prevention, cloud security, vulnerability management, and data privacy.

Gautam has previously served as a CISO and Regional Information Security Officer leading teams across Asia. He has worked on numerous projects covering areas such as DLP implementation, IAM, IS strategy development, and governance and controls implementation for entities in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and South Korea.
