Adani Enterprises Appoints Burgess Cooper as CEO of its New OT Cybersecurity Business

Adani Enterprises has appointed Burgess Cooper as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adani Enterprises Limited’s newly launched Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity business.

This move marks a significant milestone in Cooper’s career, following a decade-long tenure at Ernst & Young (EY) India, where he served as Partner in Cybersecurity Consulting.

A veteran cybersecurity leader with nearly 30 years of experience, Cooper shared the announcement via LinkedIn, signaling both a personal and professional shift — and underscoring Adani Group’s growing commitment to protecting critical infrastructure amid escalating cyber threats in industrial systems.

His career spans leadership roles at top-tier organizations including HSBC, Vodafone, and EY. Before joining EY in 2015, he held influential roles such as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Technology and Security Officer in leading telecom and financial institutions.

As CEO of Adani’s OT Cybersecurity business, Cooper will drive the company’s mission to deliver specialized cybersecurity solutions for industrial systems — serving both internal Adani entities and external clients across sectors.

What makes this opportunity special is the Adani Group itself — a bold, future-focused organization that plays a pivotal role in building India’s infrastructure, economy, and global presence,Cooper said in his LinkedIn post. “From energy and transport to logistics and now technology, Adani is shaping the India of tomorrow at unmatched scale.

He emphasized that this role represents more than just a new chapter — it’s the culmination of decades spent navigating the evolution of technology and cybersecurity.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand how quickly technology has advanced — and how critical it is to secure the infrastructure that powers our world. From financial systems to factories and power grids, the threat landscape is only becoming more complex,” he wrote.

With the global industrial backbone becoming increasingly digital, protecting critical infrastructure is more urgent than ever. That’s the challenge we’re taking on — by building a world-class OT cybersecurity services company, headquartered in India, and built to meet the needs of large-scale industries both within the Adani Group and beyond.
