With over two decades of experience across public and private banking ecosystems, he now leads the bank’s cyber strategy, overseeing global security operations across 18 international geographies and multiple subsidiaries.
Over the past six years at Bank of Baroda, Ajayakumar has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing enterprise-wide cybersecurity architecture, SOCs, and regulatory-aligned risk governance frameworks. His leadership has been central to securing ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS certifications, deploying SIEM and XDR platforms, aligning cybersecurity strategy with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, and launching enterprise-wide security awareness initiatives.
Previously, he held key positions at Vijaya Bank and Union Bank of India, where he drove digital banking initiatives, established secure digital channels, and designed mission-critical banking applications. With a unique combination of deep technical expertise and strategic foresight, Ajayakumar is well-positioned to advance Bank of Baroda’s cybersecurity capabilities and lead its secure digital transformation journey.
