Google Launches ‘Bard Advanced’ – Advanced AI Chatbot Driven by Gemini Ultra

Google has unveiled ‘Bard Advanced,’ an upgraded version of its ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot counterparts, aiming to take interactive capabilities to new heights. This enhanced iteration is powered by Gemini Ultra, Google’s state-of-the-art large language model (LLM), signaling a significant advancement in AI chatbot technology.

Initially, the existence of ‘Bard Advanced’ came to light when developer Dylan Roussel revealed its upcoming availability through a paid subscription on Google One. According to Roussel, users can enjoy three complimentary months of ‘Bard Advanced’ through Google One, showcasing the tech giant’s commitment to offering advanced AI capabilities to users. Notably, the new chatbot utilizes the powerful capabilities of Gemini Ultra, underlining its potential for sophisticated language processing and reasoning skills.

While ‘Bard Advanced’ is still in development, Roussel hinted at its versatility, encouraging users to “explore different topics to see what you can do with Bard.” Described as a “more capable large language model with advanced math and reasoning skills,” the chatbot promises an enriched and multifaceted user experience.

Developer Bedros Pamboukian further substantiated Google’s commitment to advancing AI technology by highlighting the ongoing efforts toward an “advanced” tier. This reflects the company’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the AI space.

Google recently introduced Gemini Pro, its large language model, to developers and enterprises, aiming to enable the creation of tailored solutions for complex tasks. The company also launched Google AI Studio, a free web-based developer tool facilitating prompt development and API key acquisition for application development.

At present, developers can access Gemini Pro and Gemini Pro Vision through Google AI Studio, offering complimentary usage accommodating up to 60 requests per minute. This provision caters to diverse app development requirements, emphasizing Google’s commitment to supporting developers with cutting-edge AI capabilities.

Looking ahead, Google’s roadmap includes the launch of Gemini Ultra in the early months of the upcoming year. Described as the most robust model tailored for highly complex tasks, its release will follow meticulous fine-tuning, safety evaluations, and feedback from valuable partners. Moreover, Google plans to expand Gemini’s accessibility across developer platforms, including Chrome and Firebase, further extending its reach and impact.

In a statement, Google expressed its commitment to advancing AI technology: “Early next year, we’ll launch Gemini Ultra, our largest and most capable model for highly complex tasks, after further fine-tuning, safety testing and gathering valuable feedback from partners. We’ll also bring Gemini to more of our developer platforms like Chrome and Firebase.”

The introduction of ‘Bard Advanced’ and the continued evolution of Gemini models underscore Google’s efforts to stay at the forefront of AI innovation, offering developers and users enhanced capabilities and pushing the boundaries of what AI-powered chatbots can achieve. As the technology continues to advance, these developments pave the way for more sophisticated and versatile applications of AI in various domains.
