Oracle Database Now Available on AWS Infrastructure

Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced the general availability of Oracle Database AWS, enabling customers to run Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database on OCI infrastructure within AWS. Initially launched in the AWS U.S. East (Virginia) and U.S. West (Oregon) Regions, the service is set to expand to 20 more AWS Regions globally.

Key Benefits:
➤ Run Oracle Database 23ai with AI Vector Search and zero-ETL integration with AWS Analytics.

➤ Migrate workloads without rearchitecting, with support for Oracle RAC and high availability across AWS zones.

➤ Seamless integration with AWS tools and services like EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.

➤ Purchase via AWS Marketplace and leverage Oracle licensing programs (BYOL, OSR).

Adopted by Industry Leaders:
Enterprises such as Fidelity Investments, Nationwide, and SAS are already leveraging Oracle Database AWS to modernize applications, boost agility, and enhance performance while meeting regulatory and security demands.

Global Rollout Plan:
Beyond the U.S., upcoming regions include Mumbai, Hyderabad, Frankfurt, London, Tokyo, and Sao Paulo, among others.

This strategic collaboration simplifies cloud modernization, allowing customers to combine Oracle’s AI-driven database capabilities with AWS’s analytics and generative AI tools—enabling smarter, scalable, and more responsive applications.
