SailPoint launches new identity security capabilities to enhance enterprise security management

SailPoint Technologies announced the launch of Privileged Task Automation, Machine Identity Security and new and enhanced capabilities as part of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, to help organisations solve their identity security challenges across all types of identities, including privileged identities and machine identities. Built on the SailPoint Atlas platform, the latest updates underscore SailPoint’s dedication to simplifying identity security through automation, enhanced visibility, and contextual insights, empowering organisations to manage identities holistically in today’s complex threat landscape.

SailPoint’s new capabilities include:

1. Privileged Task Automation: SailPoint Privileged Task Automation, a new Identity Security Cloud capability empowers organisations to improve productivity and security by automating and delegating repetitive, routine privileged tasks. This solution enables organisations to adopt a holistic approach to manage tasks and securing identities based on specific access needs. With an intuitive, easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface for workflow configuration and a library of customisable templates, it helps accelerate workflow adoption, enhance IT operations’ accuracy, and strengthen governance.

2. SailPoint Identity Security Cloud: Built on the robust SailPoint Atlas platform, Identity Security Cloud brings enhanced capabilities to simplify and fortify identity security for large enterprises. The new features include dynamic access roles, data segmentation, access model metadata, improved contextual visibility, and streamline user access management. Additionally, the introduction of SailPoint Identity Risk within this product suite, provides deeper insights into identity behaviours, enabling proactive defence against security threats. With these innovations, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud offers enterprises a unified solution for comprehensive identity management, role sprawl prevention, and optimised data governance.

3. Machine Identity Security: As machine identities proliferate, Machine Identity Security offers organisations a dedicated solution for managing machine accounts, such as service accounts and bots. Built on the SailPoint Atlas platform, this product delivers full visibility, governance, and control over machine identities, ensuring inactive accounts are properly managed, and access remains continuously monitored. This feature allows businesses to discover, classify, and manage machine identities, applying the same security rigour as with human identities.
