Carnelian Asset Management and Advisors Pvt Ltd has appointed Tejas Shah as its new Chief Technology Officer. With more than 27 years of experience in the IT industry, Shah brings a wealth of expertise in technology leadership across diverse sectors, including BFSI, Manufacturing, EPC, and Retail.
Prior to joining Carnelian, Shah was the Chief Technology Officer at SSL Ltd, part of the Kalpataru Group, where he oversaw IT operations, service delivery, and infrastructure management for the conglomerate. He has an established record in executing large-scale ERP projects, complex application lifecycles, IP product development, and data and voice network management. As a Certified Information Systems Auditor, he possesses deep knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance. His expertise also includes executing business continuity planning and leading disaster management drills, and ensuring IT security and resilience.
Shah has held senior leadership positions at organizations such as Ziqitza Health Care Limited, where he was Head of Information Technology. He was responsible in aligning Information Technology with business priorities IT transformation, and application lifecycle management for the healthcare sector. He managed large teams, spearheaded strategic outsourcing, optimized costs, and implemented HRMS and mobile applications with secure transactions for over 7,000 employees nationwide.
Earlier, as Head of Information Technology at Axis Asset Management Company Ltd, Shah built the IT function from the ground up. His efforts included developing business continuity frameworks, securing networks with near-perfect uptime, and executing data center build-outs, structured cabling, network infrastructure, and IP telephony systems for financial services. He also led complex integration initiatives with financial platforms to support nationwide sales operations.
A strong advocate of digital transformation and innovation, Shah leverages technologies such as RPA, AI, and automation to enhance business operational efficiency and customer experience. His appointment is expected to advance company’s technology roadmap and accelerate innovation across its operations.
