1. What’s the IT roadmap of JK Lakshmi? Within your organization, what is the most significant digital achievement of the past 12 months?

JK Lakshmi Cement has set new benchmarks in the cement industry in India. Our relentless focus on technology adoption for product quality, customer satisfaction and innovation has helped us push our boundaries and tap the immense potential for development.

Our IT roadmap for this year includes:

•Migration to SAP S/4 Hana
•Data Classification
•DLP
•Deep Security for Servers
•EDR for endpoints
•Right Access Management
•vSAN(Virtual Storage Area Network)
•Sales Force (Full Utilization)
•Dashboard Reporting using advance features of Qlik Sense

Significant digital achievements in the journey towards excellence are as follows:

•Empowered to stake holders with web portals e.g. SRM Portal, CRM Portal
•Enhanced Mobile Application for Employees and Vendors
•E-Bidding for Logistics and Material Procurement
•E-Tagging (Based on QR Code/Bar code)
•IOT for Fire Hydrant System & Water Flow Meters
•Boom Barriers
•Auto Calling System for Logistic department
•Dashboard Reporting

2. Since insiders have more access to information, what kind of processes do you have in place to prevent unauthorized use of information? How is JK Lakshmi’s cyber security strategy going forward?

We use to conduct cybersecurity audits to prevent unauthorized use of information. Our organization is also well equipped with latest firewall, anti virus, and structured DR/NDR sites. We are using latest backup technology. Going forward, we are in process to implement Data Classification, DLP, Deep Security for Servers, Web application firewall etc.

3. What are the technologies that will characterize the next phase of digital transformation at JK Lakshmi?

Implementation of SAP S/4 HANA , SD WAN, Sales Force and Qlik Sense (Advance Level/New Features), Pre-And-Post PO (Purchase Order) Process.

4. With your experience of steering technology, can you please share some of the unique lessons learned?

Digitization, IOT Implementation and Adoption of Artificial intelligence can play key role in manufacturing industries for Business Insights, Process improvements and Innovations.
