Q1. Could you brief us about your current role, and what responsibilities you undertake in your organization?
As the Partner & National Leader for Client and Markets in Grant Thornton Bharat, my key responsibilities are –

* Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality advisory services.

* Running the cyber security consulting services for the firm.

* Market Strategy Development: Developing and implementing market strategies to drive growth in advisory services. This involves identifying market trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

* Thought Leadership: Positioning the firm as a thought leader in the advisory space by contributing to industry publications, speaking at conferences, and participating in professional networks.

* Operational Excellence: Ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services, managing resources, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

* Leadership and Mentoring: Leading a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them achieve their career goals and deliver exceptional client service.

* Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including cross-selling services to existing clients and acquiring new clients.

Q2. Tell us about your journey in this industry and how Information Technology has transformed over the years?
My journey in the tech consulting industry has been both dynamic and rewarding. Starting as a junior consultant, I witnessed firsthand the rapid evolution of Information Technology. From the early days of on-premises solutions to the current era of cloud computing and AI-driven analytics, the transformation has been remarkable. The shift towards digital transformation has empowered businesses to innovate and scale like never before. Technologies such as IoT, blockchain, and machine learning have redefined how we approach problem-solving and strategy. As a leader and partner, my focus has always been on leveraging these advancements to drive value for clients, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation within my teams.

The Information Technology industry is poised for significant transformation driven by several key strategic areas. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are at the forefront, enabling smarter automation and data-driven decision-making. Quantum Computing promises to revolutionize problem-solving capabilities with unprecedented speed and efficiency. Cybersecurity remains crucial as threats evolve, necessitating advanced protective measures. The rise of Edge Computing and 5G technology is set to enhance connectivity and real-time data processing. Additionally, Blockchain technology is reshaping data integrity and transaction security. These areas collectively will redefine IT landscapes, driving innovation and efficiency across various sectors.

* Understanding the data requirements and ensuring data quality and availability is crucial.

To combat the rising threat of weaponized AI like FraudGPT and WormGPT, cybersecurity leaders must leverage the power of AI, machine learning (ML), and generative AI within Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions. By integrating these advanced technologies, XDR can enhance threat detection capabilities, enabling real-time analysis and response to sophisticated cyber threats. AI and ML algorithms can identify patterns and anomalies that traditional methods might miss, while generative AI can simulate potential attack scenarios, helping to predict and mitigate risks before they materialize.

Moreover, the synergy between AI-driven analytics and XDR’s comprehensive visibility across networks, endpoints, and cloud environments allows for a more proactive defense strategy.
