Akhil Verma moves on from Airtel Payments Bank, Joins Paytm Money as CISO

Information Security leader Akhil Verma has joined Paytm Money as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Before joining Paytm Money, he worked in the same capacity at Airtel Payments Bank.

He will be based in Bangalore in his new role.

Verma has been associated with the banking and financial services industry for more than 15 years. He has held leadership positions in Fincare Small Financial Bank, Janalakshmi Bank and Canara Bank.

At Janalakshmi Financial Services, Akhil was AVP IS & IT Audit followed by a stint at Fincare Small Finance Bank as Sr. GM & CISO before joining Airtel Payments Bank in November 2018 as CISO.

Paytm Money is a 100% owned subsidiary of One97 Communications and its fourth consumer brand after Paytm, Paytm Mall, and Paytm Payments Bank. Paytm Money is a SEBI-registered investment advisor and offers investment execution and advisory services.
