Microsoft acquires Softomotive to expand its RPA capabilities

Microsoft has announced the acquisition of Softomotive whose products will become part of Microsoft Power Automate. The financial details of the deal are not known.

Since it was founded in 2005, Softomotive, creator of WinAutomation, has been part of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Robotic Desktop Automation (RDA) sector.

According to Marios Stavropoulos, Co-Founder & CEO, Softomotive LTD, the combination offers the following benefits to the customers such as:

Providing an integrated experience with Microsoft Power Automate – The citizen developers who are our mutual customers will be able to realize a greater set of automation options.
Expanding adjacent solution integrations – Microsoft provides a natural path to not only greater scalability but other complimentary solutions such as augmented AI and analytics as well.
Upgrading our customer success and support – We look forward to providing our customers with even better professional services as we become part of Microsoft.

“As part of Microsoft, we will usher in the next phase of RPA with a true end-to-end, agile offering together. We’ve come a long way from our roots and are now ready to deliver a new RPA vision to our customers!,” said Stavropoulos.
