A leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, Wipro Limited has announced its partnership with Micro Focus to launch the Legacy Migration and Modernisation Lab collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Hosted at Wipro’s AWS Launchpad in Parramatta, Australia, the lab will allow companies in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) to experience hands-on demonstration of tools and accelerators to help optimise mainframe application capabilities for the cloud.
To enable a cloud-ready IT environment, the lab combines the skills and technical knowledge of Wipro, Micro Focus, and AWS to help customers become more flexible, lower operational costs, and avoid application-modernization risks. These increased capabilities will also enable businesses to develop more quickly and achieve greater commercial outcomes. The lab will also be used as a testing ground for mainframe app modernization scenarios, allowing firms to conduct training and present proof of ideas in real time.

Wipro recently announced the Launch of Wipro FullStride Cloud Services, as well as a pledge to invest $1 billion over the next three years in cloud technologies, capabilities, acquisitions, and partnerships. Wipro will expand its legacy migration and modernisation services as part of this to assist enterprises in migrating their expensive and monolithic legacy platforms to the cloud and modernising their application ecosystem to boost agility. Wipro has earned the AWS Mainframe Migration Competency and is a preferred partner for Micro Focus.
