iMerit Names Sudeep George as New VP of Engineering


A leading data labeling solutions company, iMerit has announced that Sudeep George has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering.

Sudeep is a seasoned technology executive with over 18 years of expertise in the field of computer vision. In his new position, he will be based in Bengaluru, India, and will be responsible for developing the next generation of artificial intelligence products and services.

Sudeep has worked on developing computational imaging products and solutions at the convergence of computer vision, imaging, edge computing, and autonomous capabilities throughout his career. He co-founded Tonbo Imaging, a high-tech firm specialising in imaging systems, and India’s first full-fledged electro-optics firm. Prior to Tonbo, He worked at Samsung R&D and headed engineering teams at Sarnoff Corporation.

In collaboration with Deshpande Foundation the company recently opened its tenth Center of Excellence for AI training data in Hubballi, Karnataka. With more than 4,500 employees, iMerit’s global footprint includes centers across India, Bhutan and the U.S.
