Hitachi launches new flash portfolio

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has launched a new flash portfolio that includes an expanded line-up of all-flash and hybrid flash arrays, performance optimisation software and data analytics capabilities.

Hitachi Data Systems vice president and country manager A/NZ and Pacific Islands, Nathan McGregor, said, “with our broad portfolio of flash solutions and advanced, patented technology, Hitachi is your trusted partner to accelerate business outcomes with an all-Flash, software-defined infrastructure that eliminates slowdowns and accelerates your time to market.”

The new offering includes the all-flash Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) F series, that according to the vendor, is backed by the industry’s only 100 per cent data availability guarantee. Enhanced models of the Hitachi VSP G series and new versions of Hitachi flash modules with in-line data compression (FMD DC2) rounded out the new storage arrays.

The Hitachi Automation Director, for self -service provisioning of flash storage, and Hitachi Data Centre Analytics tools have also been enhanced.
