To enhance mutual cyber-security capabilities, the collaboration between Kaspersky Lab, a global cybersecurity and data protection leader, and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, facilitates cooperation in areas of common interest, such as the implementation of cyber security policies and other relevant initiatives.
The collaboration between Kaspersky and CERT-In is intended at helping the agency in understanding, identifying, and reducing the occurrence of various cyberattacks in the country.
Cyberattacks on banking and financial institutions and enterprises are evolving continuously. Attackers are targeting financial organisations by infiltrating banking IT infrastructures with complex and sophisticated techniques. As part of the activities of cyber security awareness month, October 2021, Kaspersky in collaboration with CERT-In held an interactive simulation-based training workshop for government, public, and private organisations in the financial sector on October 28, 2021. The training was attended by senior-level officials, decision-makers, and managerial-level officers from various government, public, and private sector financial organisations in India.
The training took place on Kaspersky’s Interactive Protection Simulation (KIPS) online platform, which is a dedicated business simulation game that seeks to convey the potential implications of cybersecurity to participants and help them better comprehend the topic. The training workshop drew a total of 135 officials.
