Happiest Minds announced a forthcoming change in its organization structure based on Board Members feeling the need for CEO & MD to be located in Bangalore.
Keeping organizational needs in mind, an idea about a location transition was discussed between Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman and Vikram Gulati, CEO & MD at Happiest Minds several months ago. Since this did not fit into Vikram’s personal priorities, they together decided that Vikram Gulati should be free to pursue a path outside while Happiest Minds would initiate a search for his successor.
Commenting on this development, Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman, Happiest Minds said that, “Vikram has contributed enormously to getting Happiest Minds off the launching pad and achieve record breaking performance. We wish him all the best in his career ahead”. He further added that, “Happiest Minds’ search for the CEO & MD successor has progressed well and we will announce the name of the new CEO in due course”.
Vikram Gulati’s last day at Happiest Minds will be October 31st 2014. He said, “I have had an exciting career with Happiest Minds. I have no doubt that the excellent team at Happiest Minds will lead it to greater success”.
Happiest Minds strategy of focusing on disruptive technologies has resonated well with customers. It has achieved several records for an IT services company out of India in 3 years from its launch with run rate USD 45mn, 85 customers and 1250 people. Happiest Minds is also on track for its goal of going public in maximum 7 years from its launch.
