Dr. Makarand Sawant has joined Samruddhi Enterprises AFB (SEAFB) as a Board Member Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
He brings extensive expertise in Digital Technology, Automation, Analytics (AI/ML), Industry 4.0, Enterprise IT Architecture, GRC frameworks, Cybersecurity, and Risk Management.
Prior to taking this position, Dr. Sawant served as Vice President – Information Technology at Sahyadri Hospitals, where he led digital transformation initiatives, enhancing business continuity, operational efficiency, and customer experiences. He has also held senior leadership positions at Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL), where he spearheaded smart factory, IoT, and Industry 4.0 initiatives, and at Bioimagene India, where he developed and deployed customized software solutions for global clients.
Dr. Sawant’s proven track record includes setting strategic directions, leading transformative IT projects, and aligning technology with business goals. His contributions have been recognized with 75+ prestigious awards, including “Eminent CIO of India” and ranking among the Top 50 CIOs, CTOs & CISOs.
