While more than 34,000 new developers contributed code to web3 projects in 2021, it only represents a small segment of the total number of software engineers globally, according to a report by Electric Capital , a venture capital firm that invests in web3 startups. Hackathons and Accelerator programs like these help in strengthening and upskilling the developer pool of the rapidly growing Web3 space. Metaverse is also playing a promising role in this. Several Web3 players are building a metaverse for developers, where they can explore freely, grab global Web3 opportunities and enhance their abilities as a Web3 developer.
After associating with multiple hackathons and accelerator programs, Lumos Labs connects with the developer community at a grassroot level, understands the hindrances faced by them and has built a strong developer base of 60K so far. Determined to promote and increase the foundations of this technology further, Lumos Labs has launched this hackathon to scale and nurture developers who want to explore the edges of web3 innovation.
