Netpoleon today announced a strategic partnership with FRSLABS to offer an end-to-end DPDPA compliance solution for Indian organisations.
In the race to find new and innovative ways to grow through data analytics and artificial intelligence, organisations have often overlooked or exceeded the intended purpose and care for personal data. The new DPDP Act, published in August 2023, aims to address this by balancing the need for lawful processing by organisations with consumers’ right to protect their personal data. The goal is to ensure that data is collected with clear, informed consent and used solely for its intended purpose, with strict policies in place to maintain this approach throughout the customer’s lifecycle.
The DPDPA mandates organisations to implement stringent measures for the collection, storage, and processing of personal data, while granting consumers broad rights to request information on how their data is processed, and to modify or withdraw consent at any time. There is no doubt that this Act will have a far-reaching impact on businesses of all sizes, affecting every function and operation. Through this partnership, Netpoleon and FRSLABS are throwing their weight behind a novel solution called ATLAS DPDP to help organisations comply with the new law.
ATLAS, conceptualised and built by FRSLABS for fiduciaries operating in India or processing the data of Indian citizens globally, is an end-to-end DPDP solution designed to help discover and classify data, apply policy models to systems (covering data collection, processing, purpose, transfer, and storage), and automatically generate multilingual consents to obtain clear and informed consent across all customer touchpoints. It registers customer consent in a central registry, allowing customers to access a copy or modify preferences in accordance with the law. The solution also manages customer requests and grievances through a workflow, with APIs and log management for centrally tracking data processing activities across multiple systems. Additionally, it provides a visual system map that illustrates how data flows between systems, accurately mapping the purposes and frequency of data processing. Data policy violations are tracked centrally, enabling organisations to proactively address data privacy issues.
“With the introduction of DPDPA, much like the GDPR and CCPA, Indian organisations face a critical need to adapt to a new era of data protection and privacy. Our partnership with FRSLABS enables us to provide a comprehensive solution that not only ensures compliance but also simplifies consent management, even in regional languages, while offering a clear view of the entire system landscape and data flow in a beautifully designed portal” said Mohan Kumar T L Director of Netpoleon India. “This collaboration reinforces our commitment to delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions tailored to local market needs. FRSLABS, with over 15 years of proven experience in building large-scale enterprise applications, managing over 200 enterprise clients, and holding 3 patents, has developed the best DPDP solution we have evaluated so far.”
“We are excited to partner with Netpoleon, leveraging their extensive reach and global distribution network, to deliver an end-to-end DPDP solution that addresses a critical challenge in the Indian market. ATLAS adds real value not only in terms of cost and compliance but also by restoring consumer trust and enabling the next phase of growth for organisations,” said Shankar P, Chief Executive Officer of FRSLABS.
