Salesforce, GiftAbled launch LearnAbled for PwD empowerment

by CIOAXIS Bureau

In a bold stride toward a more inclusive future, Salesforce India has joined hands with GiftAbled Foundation to launch Project LearnAbled—a comprehensive upskilling initiative tailored for People with Disabilities (PwDs). Designed to bridge critical gaps in education and employment, the program aims to equip individuals with industry-relevant technical and non-technical skills, fostering greater inclusion in India’s fast-evolving digital economy.

LearnAbled promises more than just skill development—it offers a vision of equal opportunity. With the backing of Salesforce, the world’s #1 AI CRM*, the initiative brings forward a structured approach to training that’s fully accessible and inclusive by design. It combines emerging technologies, expert mentorship, and job placement support to help PwDs transition into high-demand careers.

At Salesforce, we recognise the challenges that individuals with disabilities face in breaking into the workforce and growing their careers,” said Federica Terrenzio, Senior Director, Disabilities@work, Salesforce. “Our dedication to accessibility is rooted in the belief that every professional deserves access to the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed, especially in the era of agentic AI. Technology and the right partnerships can be powerful equalisers, breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for all.

Creating Pathways to Employment
Project LearnAbled is built on a hybrid model of virtual and in-person learning. It offers modules ranging from AI and Robotics, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Advanced Excel for Business Analysis, to Employability Skills such as English communication and workplace readiness.

Through LearnAbled, we provide specialized upskilling, comprehensive support, and placement assistance to ensure candidates gain the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the workforce,” said Prateek Kaul, Co-Founder and Trustee, GiftAbled. “Together, with Salesforce, we are able to drive meaningful change towards a more accessible and equitable future.

The program not only trains participants in job-ready skills, but also supports them with regular assessments, soft skills development, and personalized placement assistance, ensuring a smooth transition into employment. Additionally, LearnAbled collaborates with colleges, NGOs, and state disability departments to identify candidates and tailor learning journeys based on pre-assessments.

A Step Toward Inclusive Innovation
With India rapidly embracing AI and digital transformation, workforce inclusion is no longer just a social imperative—it’s a strategic one. LearnAbled addresses this by engaging corporate hiring partners and industry leaders to ensure workplaces are ready to support diverse talent.

This initiative reflects Salesforce’s broader commitment to social equity and inclusive innovation. Through its Disabilities@work program, the company continues to champion accessibility and foster cultures where every individual, regardless of ability, can thrive.

As businesses increasingly turn to AI to drive growth and innovation, programs like LearnAbled demonstrate how technology—when paired with purpose—can truly empower.
